Entry and Exit of Works of Art

As of Decree 1037/24, to export or import a work of art, it is only necessary to complete the form "OM 3920 – Sworn Declaration of Works of Art."
The sworn declaration may be completed at the time of arrival or departure, or in advance using the virtual form available on the website of the Agency for Tax Collection and Customs Control.
Key changes include:
- Elimination of the export notice issued in the country of origin as a requirement for the entry or exit of works of art.
- No limit on the number of works of art exported or imported, whether as hand luggage, accompanied baggage, unaccompanied baggage, and/or parcel.
- For temporary export and import of works of art, a maximum period of 5 years is established, which may be extended once by the competent authority, for a period not exceeding the original.

Important:
Prior reservation and coordination of documentation submission must be requested at the Ezeiza Customs Registry Office.

- As these are fragile items, works of art will only be accepted if packed in a wooden box or similar rigid material.
- Information valid for shipments from the Argentine Republic.
